Chugoku Region

Known for its combination of large grain size and shape, rice grown in Yamaguchi, Japan is of a high quality, making it ideal for both sake and other food production. Despite having limited growing space due to the region's steep hills and location near the coast, the Chugoku area still manages to produce yearly output of over a hundred thousand tons. This rice is thought to be particularly special due to the spectacular views of the sea that its hills allow.
