Kita shuzou

In 1820, Ginzaemon Kita started our brewery in Koto plain, Ohmi. Ginzaemon used to buy the Ohmi-brand rice from local farmers, brew sake and did business in the neighborhood. Our brand name was “Temmaya” at the time. Since then, the Kita family has been brewing sake for more than 200 years. Its brand name “Kirakucho” has a meaning of wishing our customers to enjoy the sake.
