Akiu Heart Rock Sake “Uma Tou Seikou” 2026 (Year of the Horse) is a limited-edition Japanese sake created to celebrate 2026, the Year of the Horse (午年) — a rare Hinoe-Uma (丙午) year that occurs once every 60 years. The name 「馬到成功」 symbolises swift success and positive momentum, expressing the wish that all endeavors will move forward smoothly, just like a horse running ahead. This sake is brewed as part of the next-generation Akiu Heart Rock Sake craft project by father-and-son brewers Izawa, with brewing carried out at Asakan Sake Brewery in Miyagi Prefecture. Inspired by the famous heart-shaped rock at Raireikyo Gorge in Akiu, Sendai, the Heart Rock emblem represents sincerity, strength, and good fortune.
